A Gorgeous Zulu And Sepedi Wedding

It’s been a couple of weeks since the release of Bontle Bride Magazine. Everything is moving at a slow pace but we will get there. I just want to say thank you to all who have shared and liked the magazine. I’m still working on getting it to the shops, so please be patient, you’ll soon be able to go to your local supermarket and buy one.

Today’s wedding was beautifully captured by Randy Rooi. You don’t know how excited I am to have Tumi and Lebo grace Bontle’s pages with their gorgeous Zulu And Sepedi Wedding. It feels my heart with so much joy to see couples enjoy their weddings their way. Although they plan to have a white wedding sometime next year, they put such tremendous efforts to make sure that their traditional wedding was memorable. Here’s their story, ENJOY.

“I met my husband in grade 8 when I started high school but we never dated then…I changed schools in Grade 10 and we lost contact, fast forward to 4years later we bumped into each other kept contact and months later we started dating.”Zulu And Sepedi Wedding

“He popped the question on my birthday after having dinner at Pigalle…Then his family sent a letter to my family to start the lobola negotiations. We then started the planning process once the families had agreed on wedding dates.

Our celebration was a 2-day cultural wedding. My outfits were cultural (1 was SePedi inspired as I am Pedi and the other 1 was Zulu inspired as my husband is Zulu).”Zulu And Sepedi Wedding

“The photographer we used was referred by my cousin as she met him at her friend’s wedding, the Designer was referred by my best friend, makeup we used my cousin’s friend who is a budding makeup artist. Décor & Flowers used Ashantis they were referred by a friend who got married the previous year.”Zulu And Sepedi Wedding

“My dresses were amazing. I told my designer I just want to look beautiful and she made it happen.”

“I wanted people to eat good food so I got a Private Chef Nick to prepare all the food. My dad got carried away with the alcohol as he wanted everyone to drink and be merry.”Zulu And Sepedi WeddingZulu And Sepedi WeddingA Gorgeous Zulu And Sepedi WeddingZulu And Sepedi Wedding

“If you’re on your own journey of planning a wedding, don’t stress. If things fall apart just find a quick solution. The guests don’t know how it was supposed to be so in their eyes it looks perfect.”
