Beauty Edits Vol~1

As much as I love weddings I love make-up too. Last year I learned a lot about makeup and have bought products I’d like to share with you. So hence why I’m dedicating Fridays to beauty. I’ve wanted to do this for a long time but each time I tried cold feet got the better of me. I’ll be reviewing products I’ve used and would recommend to you. If a product is sent to me to review, I’ll let you know at the end of each post. In the spirit of being honest, I will disclose any income made from all my reviews. I know I don’t have to but I want to be transparent with you because without you lovelies reading the blog, there would be no blog.

The first product to grace these pages is from the body shop. The Fresh Nude Foundation Andalusia Almond 060.

I went to the body shop to have a snoop around and wasn’t looking for anything specific. My aim was to browse, try a few testers, bag many samples (my favourite thing to do) and exit. But the floor assistant had other ideas. I wasn’t planning on buying anything and certainly not spending as much as I did. In fact when I noticed she was coming my way I wanted to make my exit as quickly as possible.

The assistant asked something about the weather and I nodded hoping she’d walk away. However, I found myself talking to her about the bad experiences I’ve had with foundation. From buying ones that are too light or too dark. She quickly grabbed what looked like foundation from the selves. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical but it’s awesome. It doesn’t feel very heavy on my skin. It feels light and it is the closest matching foundation I ever tried. So…well done body shop for catering to the brown or black beauties out there.

I hope you’ve liked the first installment of the beauty edits
