Hello my preciousness.Today’s post is the extension of a post I wrote last week ( Planning A winter Wedding? Read On) I have come up with a few more ideas which I did not mention that I think you would want to know if you are planning or thinking about having a winter wedding. I know winter weddings are not to everyone’s taste but boy are they gorgeous and here at Pure Pure Pearls Luxury Events we are mad about the gorgeousness of a winter wedding. The thing I like most about winter weddings is that you don’t have to spend a lot on accessories or even the decor. The one advantage that I think couples planning a winter wedding have over the couples that chose a summer wedding is the magical snowy outdoors . So here are a few accessories/ ideas to add to your winter wedding to achieve the romantic feel and mood of the Christmas season:
For The Bride & Bridesmaids: A lace wedding dress for the bride is a perfect choice. Fake fur coats will not just keep you warm but they look elegant in the icy snow.Pretty Jewels and sparkly gems will add glamour to you and your bridesmaids look .For Bridesmaids dresses don’t just think about having them in blue dresses(that’s what everyone does) why not go for black colored long bridesmaids dresses I think they look so chic, elegant and adds contrast to the wedding dresses. I promise they will look gorgeous. For the Bridal bouquet, a white lily bouquet that has the dark purple accent inside will look stunning with the winter theme.
For the Groom and Groomsmen: Stylish Scarfs, leather gloves or Fur hats and coats will add a polished look to the groom and groomsmen. Also make sure that the fur hats aren’t too big or flashy. One thing more thing to remember is that fur hats are a bit pricey so shop and hackle to get the best price.
For The Ceremony:Built the theme into all the ceremony elements from the unity candle/sand to a white satin ring pillow accented with a delicate lace ribbon.Use the outdoors as a backdrop, if you have to have the ceremony inside or at a church then use few feathery wreaths as your backdrop.
For The Reception:Use fake snow, pine cones, branches, snow flakes, sparkly cutlery and silver charger plates. And remember to keep it rich and warm by using luxe fabrics and lighting. Think about using an abundance of candles, there is just something magical about candles, they will create an an elegant and romantic feel to your winter wedding. Use different kinds of candles(pillar, taper, floating candles, tea lights etc) in bowls, holders and vases.:Take advantage of the offers that stores make in the ran up to Christmas
