I was recently having a conversation with a friend about being African in the UK. As, you can imagine we talked about a lot of things. The highs and lows of living here. We had a blast reminiscing about Mzansi. The one topic that came up again and again was how we both missed weddings. Mind you; she has no idea that I run this blog. Most of my friends have no clue what blogging is and to be honest I don’t want to spend hours explaining to them what this blogging world is all about.
I’m lucky really. I get to experience Mzansi every single week with all the beautiful weddings you send me. And for that I’m trully grateful. I will keep blogging until the cows come home. This is a beautiful space to be in and indulge not only on weddings but on the beauty of love journeys. Thank you, Ngiyabonga, Kealeboga
This couple connected via faceook. Thank God for social media, I think this is maybe a 5th couple that I have featured who blossomed on facebook. I tell you, facebook is not all bad. The bride is Tswana and the groom is Sotho. In both Tswana and Sotho seshewe plays a big role in weddings, therefore they chose to stick with it. Their wedding theme was Modern Sotho/Tswana Wedding. Honestly, they nailed it. When asked about the style of her dress and how it made her feel Tshego said; “I combined different designs to make my own unique design. I was emotional when I first put it on.“
